Department IV, “Environmental Policy and Management of Natural Resources” deals with the following thematic fields:

Management of natural resources
Global environmental policy
International cooperation: concepts, strategy, instruments
While the related research questions overlap in various respects, they are dealt with as independent fields within the department.
The department’s work on “Climate change and development” is concentrated on two thematic focuses:
